How it works
1. Drop your workbook
Drop an .xlsx, .xls, or .xlsm file into the drop zone. Click Load sample to see a multi-sheet example.
2. Pick a sheet
Every sheet in the workbook shows up as a pill. Click to preview. Set the delimiter, line ending, and BOM to match your downstream tool.
3. Download or ZIP
Download the selected sheet as a single .csv, or grab every sheet at once as a .zip. Everything happens locally.
Why use this converter
- Private by design. Your workbook is parsed entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, logged, or stored.
- Multi-sheet aware. Pick a single sheet or download all of them as separate CSVs in one ZIP -- no manual repetition.
- Real delimiter control. Comma, semicolon, tab, pipe, or any custom character. Works for European locales out of the box.
- Excel-friendly options. CRLF line endings and an optional UTF-8 BOM so the output opens cleanly back in Excel.
- Live preview. See exactly what each sheet contains before you download -- no surprises.
- Free forever. No signup, no rate limits, no paywall.
Need more than conversion?
If you find yourself pulling CSVs out of Excel over and over because your team has no central place to capture data exports, you might want a proper intake queue. We are building one.
